Job Description / Requirements
Architect and design Last Mile Platform and all other future IT products based on requirements
Assess both functional and non-functional requirements and propose required systems development tools, technical platforms, system architecture, development approach and all other related components in order to implement required IT products
Lead the Systems Analysts and Software Developers to deliver all required IT products
Work with IT Business Analysts, Infrastructure Support and all other related teams within the organisation in an efficient and effective manner
Manage / Coordinate with the Vendors, Peers and Stakeholders to implement resolutions for each request and issue
Review Technical Specifications and Test Cases
Overseeing implementation of new change requests and new releases
Review resolutions for any issue and implement them
Plan, derive and implement all System Hygiene related activities
Able to travel overseas to work when required
Recognized Degree in Computer Science, IT or related disciplines
At least 5 years of relevant working experience in systems analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and post-implementation maintenance support in an eCommerce Logistics Environment;
Prior Experience on integrating Last Mile Carriers and Courier Companies including but not limited to Track and Trace, Parcel Scanning, Manifest Handling, Customs Declaration, Online/Mobile Payments, Deliveries, Collection Points and related software applications;
In-depth knowledge on eCommerce Logistics – Last Mile Delivery Processes as well as related Volume Trending IT Analysis;
Experience in designing optimised performance systems that can manage concurrent calls, spikes of transaction loads and user loads;
Experience in Cloud Solutions involving Load Balancing, Horizontal and Vertical Scaling and use of relevant Cloud Services including RDS, Auto-Scaling and any other related components;
Experience in managing multiple concurrent initiatives.
Experience in delivering software applications and APIs/Web Services developed in Java, MS .Net, XML, JSON, Webhooks or equivalent
Experience in MSSQL, MySQL and preferably NoSQL;
Experience in implementing Cloud Solutions and related services;
Experience in implementing Windows and Open-source/Apache Applications;
Experience in designing and developing Android Mobile Applications
